District Heights Volunteer Fire Department is looking for new applicants to join its organization. We are currently looking for men and women age 16 and older for Firefighter/EMT or EMT only. We offer free training so no experience needed. 

Qualifications: Applicant must be 16 or older.

                        If still in high school applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above

                         Applicants must have a clean background.

                         Must have a valid State issued Id

                         Must pass a County medical physical which includes a 12 min treadmill test

Experience: No experience is needed but if have experience is a plus

Training: Once pass background and physical you will go through and interview with the members of District Heights Volunteer Fire Department which is done at our monthly meeting.

               Once voted applicants will start with Volunteer Recruit School in Bowie for one week 3 hours a day in the evening.

               Once pass VRS applicants will be signed up for EMT class when available.
